My name is Nic. My family has serviced the Gympie region since 1978. My dad, Dr Lindsay Freney BVSc came to the area and started his private veterinary practice on Channon St in 1985 where he remained until passing in 2020. I grew up here and spent a large part of my younger life travelling the region with my dad as he serviced the local dairy and small enterprise farms.

Understanding and experiencing the current cost of living crisis, I set up Cooloola Fruit & Veg with the aim of providing fresh produce for an affordable price, offering a home delivery service to the regions and educating people that fresh food looks different to what the supermarket chains have led us to believe.

To that end, I support Australian farms and business and where possible prefer to source locally everything that is on offer. I get up twice per week at 1 am to travel across Queensland to source produce and I welcome anyone looking to sell fresh produce to contact me directly.
